Located in the mountains of Rancho Redondo, Curridabat, this two-level residence represents a refined example of architecture in Costa Rica’s Central Valley, designed in collaboration with Bruno Stagno Arquitecto y Asociados.
Its distinctive curved tropical roof defines the project’s identity, creating generous shade and protection from tropical rains while blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
Built with a light steel structure and siding walls, the house promotes a semi-outdoor lifestyle through balconies and terraces that embrace the mountain views and the mild local climate.
The curved roof not only enhances the spatial experience but also follows the natural topography, giving the house a subtle connection to its environment. Its lightweight construction minimizes land movement, preserving the existing biodiversity.
In tones of soft gray, the architecture maintains a humble and respectful presence within the landscape, offering spatial richness, comfort, and the serenity of life among the sounds of nature.
