This project is an example of conscious sustainable architecture in urban condominiums, designed to maximize natural light and cross-ventilation.
The project, comprising four three-bedroom units, employs a central double-height ceiling for efficient space distribution and optimizes privacy between units with the use of roof panels.
The design incorporates a roof broken into a series of angles that lend dynamism and allow light to enter, nourishing the interior space.
Urban buildings have challenges such as proximity to neighbors, security, and the relationship with the street. This project considered a generous courtyard, incorporated on the first floor, and an internal layout centered around a central space, which provides spaciousness to the units and privacy between the homes.
This central space introduces generous natural light and allows heat to escape through the roof.
A commercial project that was designed with good criteria, providing a healthy and dynamic space throughout the day. Its structure is made of concrete, but it incorporates natural materials such as wood in balcony and screen elements.
As a complex of units, the distribution of private and communal spaces considered the relationship with vehicular access, and the continuity of the gardens, achieving unity with formal and spatial meaning.
In this project, the greatest achievement was designing a contemporary, identifiable tropical structure that, thanks to its architectural principles, achieves passive comfort, and with it, very low energy demand, and a friendly relationship with the climate, the city, and the neighbors. This is a perfect example of sustainable architecture in urban condominiums.
One of the few Luz de Piedra projects with a concrete structure, which, given its context, is a successful design decision, appropriate for its users.
